Derek Johnston founded Johnston Farm Equipment in September 1983 and first started trading from premises in Kenagh, Co Longford. In June 1985 the company moved to new premises at an eight acre site on the Athlone Road in Longford.
Since then the business has expanded to include a number of quality agricultural equipment franchises plus a number of exclusive distribution franchises for Ireland, having established an ever increasing customer base in the centre and north of the country covering Longford, Roscommon, Westmeath, Sligo and Leitrim and extending to all Ireland.
"The business has been built on the basis of good, reliable parts and service support, the results of which can be seen today," says Derek Johnston. "We have striven from the start to provide our customers with top class, top of the range, quality products".
